different challenge Sunday.Yes Indianapolis Colts Hoodie , he's up against a young defense that is pressuring quarterbacks, forcing turnovers and improving by the week. Sure, he hopes to end the league's longest losing streak by giving the winless Texans their first victory since November. While Watson won a lot in college and even as an NFL rookie, now he must figure out a solution to the Texans' woes."If the tables are turned and we're 3-0, you wouldn't really be talking about the little details, you would kind of continue to do the same thing," Watson said. "Once you start losing and you really want to find out what the problem is, it's the little things."The norms have been out of whack for both teams lately.Houston's trademark defense actually ranks behind the Colts in many key categories, while Indy's traditionally strong offense has lacked big plays and late-game magic. The AFC South's two perennial powers are seeking solutions in a competitive division led by Jacksonville and Tennessee."It's about better execution, more consistency," Colts coach Frank Reich said. "Whenever you look — any team goes through the same thing when you have a day that is subpar."Houston (0-3) has had plenty of bad days in its nine-game skid, which includes back-to-back losses to an Indy team without Andrew Luck last season. So have the Colts (1-2), who missed the playoffs each of the past three seasons and are still trying to rediscover their offensive groove as Luck closes out his first month since returning from major shoulder surgery. But the only real cure is a win — and both desperately need one."We've got to get better Youth Customized Indianapolis Colts Jerseys , bottom-line business," Texans coach Bill O'Brien said. "We have to win. We all understand that. (Team owner) Bob (McNair) has made it very clear to me that we need to improve."Other things to consider for Texans-Colts:BACKUP PLANWhen the Colts hired Reich in February, he joked that he did his best work as a No. 2 option. This week he was reminded of one of his best games — engineering the largest comeback in NFL history with the Buffalo Bills. Even though it happened in January 1993 and even though it occurred against a different franchise, the Houston Oilers, Reich still cherishes the comeback."It was a great memory, a great memory for the people in Buffalo anyway," he said on a conference call with Houston reporters this week. "You get some breaks, it all works together, and you did something special that you all share together. Over the years, it's been really fun. Still, quite often, people stop me, call me www.coltsauthorizedshops.com , all over. So, that's fun."PASSING FANCYWatson has thrown for 300 yards in back-to-back games, the first time a Houston quarterback has done that since 2012. He's not the only one relishing this week's matchup. In nine career games against the Colts, All-Pro receiver DeAndre Hopkins has 48 career receptions for 648 yards in nine career games against the Colts. Both numbers are in his top three against an opponent.Meanwhile, Will Fuller has caught a TD pass from Watson in seven straight games when they've played together.RECORD WATCHColts kicker Adam Vinatieri needs one field goal to break Morten Andersen's career record (565) — just a short drive away from Andersen's high school alma mater, Ben Davis. That's not all.Vinatieri needs three field goal attempts to pass Gary Anderson (672) for second on the NFL's career list; 34 points to break Andersen's career scoring record (2,544 points); and one game played to pass George Blanda (341) for fourth in career games played.JACKSON TRIBUTEThe Indianapolis Colts will honor the late Edwin Jackson with a helmet decal. Colts coaches will wear a similar lapel pin.Team officials also will present a $25,000 donation to the Edwin Jackson 53 Foundation, which was formed following Jackson's death earlier this year. There will be a video tribute and a special game program, too.Jackson made the team as an undrafted rookie in 2015 and played three seasons in Indy before being killed in a February traffic accident. Jeffrey Monroe also died in the accident."He was a happy, happy, happy man. He was a joy to be around," Luck said. "I think a lot of guys that know him in this locker room keep him alive in their heads and in their souls. I certainly find myself thinking about him at different times and he was such a positive member of this team."2018 Opponent Scouting Report: Patriots special teams and a prediction OverviewOn October 4 Indianapolis Colts Womens T-Shirt , 2018 the Indianapolis Colts will travel to take on the New England Patriots. In this week five match-up I sought to understand our opponent and get a better idea of how they may attack our new look Colts. The Colts have struggled against the Patriots ever since Peyton Manning took his talents to Mile High. The last meeting between these two teams came in October of 2015 which culminated in a 34 to 27 Colts loss. Currently the Colts are on a seven (7!) game losing streak to the Patriots and the evil empire has put up an average of 40 points per game over that span. Hopefully this Thursday these 2018 Colts will be able to change course on what has been a rough era of Colts vs. Pats football. This one means a lot to the Colts front office Thursday night should be interestingLet’s figure out what we can expect in week five.Photo by Hannah Foslien/Getty ImagesKicker:Photo by Hannah Foslien/Getty ImagesStephen Gostkowski took over for Adam Vinateri the day Vinny left town and he’s never given up his spot. For his career he is 87.6 on field goals and 604 for 610 on PAT’s and his career long field goal came in 2017, booting in a 62 yarder, which is unreal. Gostkowski is a very good kicker and I would expect Bill Belichick to always have an excellent kicking game as a former special teams coordinator. Punter:Photo by Sam Greenwood/Getty ImagesRyan Allen has been with the Patriots since 2013 but oddly I don’t ever remember seeing him on the field during that time. I don’t remember seeing him because in the four games he’s played against the Colts he’s punted a total of ten times. Through four games this season, Allen has already punted seventeen times and only twice last week in blowout win. Hopefully, somehow we get Allen to double his career punt total tonight. Returner:Photo by Maddie Meyer/Getty ImagesPatrick Chung is listed at the top of the depth chart for Patriots punt returners but in real life corner back Cyrus Jones is the one returning punts to the tune of five returns for 49 yards in their week four dismantling of the previously undefeated Miami Dolphins. Cordarrelle Patterson is listed as the teams number one kick returner and true to form he leads the team with six returns for 157 yards. Sony Michel has also returned two kicks for a total of 40 yards.Ultimately I hope we decide to keep the ball away from these returners. Jones and Michel don’t worry me nearly as much as Patterson who, in my opinion is too explosive as a kick returner to test. I hope they let Rigoberto Sanchez blast them out of the end zone and take their chances at the 25. Final Thoughts for The Week:I hope I’m wrong about this game. I hope the Colts come out and kill in this one. I hope Andrew Luck is upset about Josh McDaniels rejecting the chance he had to coach him and channels his inner 2009 Peyton Manning and lifts the teammates he has around him to play unbeatable football. I hope the defense comes out and punches the Patriots in the mouth and doesn’t stop until the Patriots defect back to old England. I hope they intercept Tom Brady six times in the first half and make him retire at half time. I hope Frank Reich announces his arrival as a great head coach by driving his team up and down the field until Bill Belichick complains that the Colts had to be cheating. I hope Andrew Luck doesn’t stop throwing touchdown passes until the scoreboard hits 99 and runs out of space to continue. I hope all of those things, but in reality, these Colts aren’t ready, especially not on a short week with so many injuries to players vital to the teams success. A year from now I think they might be there, two years from now I think we see another failed 4th and 2. Which is an absolute shame because we aren’t going to ever get to see Andrew Luck battle the Patriots at their peak. I’m not giving you any hot takes here, Tom Brady is 42. I know he’s won the battle against time so far, but father time is completely undefeated and 44 year old Tom Brady won’t be at his peak. PredictionColts 17Patriots 31
